Winter can be hard on your lawn. Plows and snowblowers damage lawn edges, and push or thrown stones and gravel out of driveways. Heavy snow and ice can damage trees and break off limbs.
If this sounds like your lawn give us a call and schedule your spring clean up today.
Stone is meant to be in your driveway, not your lawn. Not only is it unsightly to have a pile of gravel laying in your yard, it can also damage your lawn mower and be dangerous to bystanders when you are mowing.
For our ongoing mowing customers spring clean ups are mandatory. Whether we do the job or our customers does, we will not mow a lawn that has excessive plow damage and stones. It is just not worth the risk of someone getting hurt.
Clumps of dirt and piles of rocks can be a pain to get back where they belong, but don't worry we have the appropriate equipment to get your lawn back to normal.
If you've got a gravel driveway, spring is a great time to have it resurfaced. Putting down new material in the spring will allow the driveway to be packed down and settle through out the summer. This will the driveway to take less damage come the next winter.
Resurfacing, filling in pot holes, or a brand new install, we can take care of it for you.
Do you have perennial grasses, the best time to cut them is early spring before the new growth starts. Give us a call, and we will get rid of the brown dead grass from last year and leave a clean slate for the new growth to come.
It Is a good idea to divide your grasses every couple of years, so that they don't crowd your beds.
Trees take quite the beating during the winter. Build up of snow and ice cause limbs to break off. The first thing our crew will do is walk the property and pick up stick and limbs that are to big to be blown with a leaf blower.
After the large debris has been removed, the crew will start in one location, blow everything to the other side of the yard, and pick up the debris.
At this point the lawn is starting to look like its old self. If there is any plow damage, like peeled up grass, it will be place back into its original spot. Gravel that was pushed into the lawn by plows will be put back into the drives.
In certain cases, such as a late spring clean up, there is a need for the lawn to be mowed. In these cases our crew will mow all areas of the lawn that are reachable, occasionally there are areas of the lawn that are to wet to be mowed at this time.
As an extra measure, the crew will do a final pass over of the lawn with the blowers.
Our objective for a spring clean up is to leave the lawn ready to be mowed without the hassle of stones, leaf debris or sticks.
Obviously it is impossible to give an exact number for a clean up job without looking at it, but as a general rule, we charge $65 to $85 an hour. Hourly rate is determined by specific factors presented by the job (examples: Standing water, very small gates making removal more difficult, large limbs)
A typical city lot ranging from 10,000 to 25,000 sq feet usually takes about an hour and a half.
So a typical city lot will range from $100 to $150*
* Please note this is an average estimate, some clean ups are extremely easy and will take much less time as well as some jobs are more difficult and will take longer.
